My First Hackathon of 2021

Hey Everyone! This is Manas Hejmadi, also known in the community as synapse.code! I am a passionate 17 year old programmer!

In this short blog I am going to talk about my first hackathon. This was a hackathon App Innovation Challenge ) organized by IIT Roorkee E-Summit & Codingal in the start of January. Have participated in another hackathon since then, will share details soon.

It was a great experience and I won second place! What a great start to the year!

The App i made was called TrashTag. TrashTag is a Platform that helps Manufacturers, Stores and Users to stop littering by incentivizing garbage disposal. It was an application made using Flutter, Dart, Flask and Python!

So in short the Idea is that manufacturers can put QR Codes on their Products and Shop Owners or Private Volunteers can add a QR Code on their dustbins. If a patient scans the pair and throws it, then get rewarded. This incentivizes people to throw the garbage in the bin. It also allows for tracking!
